The population growth of this planet is out of control.
I believe in O population growth-- you have a child to
replace you and one to replace your spouse. This stabilizes the growth of people
being born and the sad process of death. After My second child was born,
I got (fixed) my tubes tied. I figured if I wanted another child,
had enough time and energy, and I could afford another child I could adopt.
This way hopefully we will have enough space and resources for future generations.
Just as I believe in humanes being fixed (females having thier tubes tied and
males having a vasectomy), I believe its just as important to have our pets fixed,
dogs and cats. One of the most important reasons is to reduce pet over population,
so that any strays and "unwanted" pets don't end up being euthanized. Yet there
are many more reasons to fix your pet that are benificial to them and us. For females,
breast cancers are 80% less and uterine infections and cystic ovaries are reduced.
You will avoid having blood stains on your furniture and carpets from females in heat.
The desire to mark their territory or room is reduced because they won't need to
release hormones or wonder about to attract a mate. The best time to spay or
neuter is before puperty, which is around 6mo of age and definitely before your
female goes into her first heat. This also will help reduce some behavorial
problems that occur as your pet gets older. Please contact your vet or your
local Humane Society for low cost spay/neuter programs. Don't forget to
donate so they can help others with their spay/neuter and vaccination programs.
